Frequently Asked Questions

My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches. That means we’ll use tools that are practical, collaborative, and designed to create real change.
I’m intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I also integrate Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Nonviolent Communication (NVC). We also might examine your “parts” through Internal Family Systems (IFS).
In addition, I’m certified in the Trauma of Money method and as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. If trauma, financial anxiety, attention challenges, or overwhelm are part of your experience, we can work at the nervous system level to support lasting change—not just surface-level coping.
Whether we’re working with big patterns or small adjustments, you don’t need to come in knowing the terminology. I’ll draw from what’s most helpful for your situation, and I’ll explain things clearly along the way.
My practice is neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and supportive of a wide range of identities, relationship structures, and lived experiences.

Yes. In fact, many of my clients come to therapy not because something is “broken,” but because something just isn’t working anymore.
You don’t need to be falling apart to benefit from support. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or just unsure what you want next, therapy can help you sort through it. This can be a place to think out loud, ask better questions, and find your way forward with more clarity and intention.
-
Very possibly.
Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and have read the books, listened to the podcasts, and maybe even been in therapy before. What we do together won’t be surface level. We’ll take what you already know and apply it in a way that’s grounded, strategic, and connected to what actually matters to you. My job isn’t to tell you what you already know—it’s to help you move with it.
-
Yes. I work with adults navigating all of the above—and often, some combination of them.
You might be over-functioning, constantly overthinking, or just tired of keeping it all together. Whether your challenges have a diagnosis or just feel like a tangle of too much and not enough, we’ll approach them with curiosity, skill, and a plan.
-
Yes, and I bring firsthand experience.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent decades working in tech, finance, and nonprofit leadership. I understand the complex pressures that come with leadership—navigating ambiguity, carrying responsibility for others, making consequential decisions under intense scrutiny.
High-responsibility roles don’t leave much room for pause. The stakes are high, the expectations constant, and the emotional toll often goes unspoken.
In therapy, you get structured space to think clearly, ask better questions, and recalibrate without the pressure to solve everything in the moment.

My fee is $225 per 55-minute session.
That said, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who need them. If my full rate feels out of reach right now, let’s talk—I’m always open to having a conversation.
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I do offer superbills—receipts you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you’re not sure what that means or how it works, I’m happy to walk you through it.
-
I ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
If you miss a session or cancel late, the full session fee will apply—unless there’s an emergency or something truly unavoidable. I aim to be clear and fair, and I’ll extend the same respect to your time that I ask in return.
-
We’ll typically meet once a week at the same time each week, either virtually or in person (I have offices in Downtown Seattle and Bellevue).
If you’re looking for more flexibility, we can tailor the cadence to your needs.
I currently have openings, including daytime and some evening options.
Note: I’m licensed in Washington State, so I can only work with clients who are physically located in WA at the time of our sessions—even virtual ones. If you’re outside of Washington, I’m happy to help with referrals.
-
You don’t need to know that from my website. The free 30-minute consultation will help.
Therapy is personal. And while credentials matter, fit matters more. In our first conversation, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for, what I offer, and whether it makes sense to move forward. No pressure. Just a starting point—and a chance to feel out whether this space feels welcoming, grounded, and right for you.
-
Absolutely.
There’s no commitment required. You’re welcome to start with one session, see how it goes, and decide from there. If we keep working together, great. If not, I’ll do my best to point you in a direction that’s a better fit.
I know and trust a wide network of thoughtful, skilled humans—therapists, coaches, bodyworkers, healers, and people doing meaningful work in a lot of different ways. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help connect you with someone who might be. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
